Thargoid Attacks: Where, When and What you can do about it

Please wait! I am not sure if this is all due to some bugs because of the update today. The wreckage seems to be real because after re-logging it was still there. And all the rest. I have reported this to our German forum and have added some pics there. Please have a look here if you like.
;)

Had a look at your pictures: The "Guardian" drones look like normal skimmers. Apparently, Guardian is referring to their role (as Guards) not the Guardian race.

I think the 4-turbine skimmer drones have always been called Guardians :D They're the heavy ones with the missiles and shields right?

The pics show two "turbine" skimmers. The four engine skimmers are Goliaths.

Back to topic: Which incursion should we cleanse first?

Edit: Suggestion from my side:
1. Kekenk: Is in bubble, has Burning station.
2. HIP 21167: Is in bubble, has Burning station.
3. Madrus: Is in bubble, no station
4. Pleaides Sector HR-W D1-42: outside bubble, no station

Based on AXI reports, I'd say either Kekenk or HIP 21167 should be a focus. Both have large stations burning at the moment. My squadron would argue for Madrus because of how close it is to our space, but its population and resources are nowhere near the magnitude of the other two.

Ok I'll leave Madrus & head to HIP 21167, seeing as that has a large population of 822 million, it's very near to my home shipyard, a favourite mining system & my 3rd home!

I have nothing to add to the current situation...

But...going somewhat sideways/off topic, and since it's the 24. January 2019 — I noticed this thread was originally from the 24. March 2018.
So before I forget, I'd like to thank Factabulous for maintaining this thread for almost a year now! :) [up]

I may not post much in here, but I do check the status (almost) every week.

Sticking to Kekenk for now (was already there from infestation fighting). 100 Scouts found their death before the guns ran dry. Need a bit of a break, now.

Am there ATM (and got a bounty for trespassing), and the skimmers are conventional S5LM Guardians indeed. One fired a missile at me, but otherwise, they didn't attack. The message I got from scanning is different though. Seems generic to me, they might randomly pick one from a pool.

As Henoch said, the wreck doesn't look like a ship actually, but more like a hangar or scientific outpost (the Empire research lab is only 90km away). No signs of drives or cockpits. There are two or three cargo racks and some Caine-Massey canisters. And there's a number above the 'entrance' (23810-07), but I think that doesn't mean anything special.

Besides, I too scanned all the NHSS in that system, really crowded with Thargoids, but unfortunately, no NHSS 9 among them. Now it's back to Pleione to visit the IFF :D

I think you have found a piece of a wreck talked about in this thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/264118-23810-Prototype-wrecks-WIP.

HIP 21167 is pretty clear. I have seen no Thargoid activity in 10 minutes.

BTW, Do collecting black boxes and escape pods inside the station (wandering around freely) and delivering them to the rescue ship help the station to recover? or should we take the rescue missions from there?

Edit: I didn't know Incursions don't have NHSS', sorry.
HIP 21167 should be in Incursion, so should have no NHSS, but have AX CZ. 2nd Galnet report lists their states - haven't seen anyone report any finished yet.

I was kinda hoping that the delay the attacked stations had from damaged state to repairing state, was due to a new form of gameplay, in which the players had do deliver enough relief to the affected stations for them to go to said repairing state.
But it was just a bug! So collecting black boxes and escape pods, saving people and deliver them water and meds only gives you money, rep and changes influence. Too bad, i was already imagining groups, like IDA, organizing stations rescue...

yeah, I was hoping they were going to get Hull Breeches like the attacked Megaships so we could have scenarios repairing them with Hull repair limpets. But as ever, just a bug :(

[rant] ok FDev is maybe great at coding and stuff but they are clearly terrible at gameplay creativity and ideas, keeping their players attached to the game's universe, really terrible. That's obvios, but I just don't understand why they don't listen to their community. [/rant]

Yes I wanted to say a big thank you to Factabulous too. Great job in maintaining this thread. This has been the first place I stop when checking the forums for several months now. So you are not talking to yourself. :)

It is 99.999% #fakenews. I mean, feel free, but really - it's as likely as the Sol Hyperdictions...

Well, I jumped around inside this system for two days now and popped in to 15 (!) NHSS 9: no sign of a "Guardian-Fighter". Lots of trouble but no fighter of that kind.
So, as always: you are right.

Nevertheless, it was a nice experience - and it seems to me that the Pleiadian region has become a little bit more attractive with all this new scanning and earning money ( one single black box retrieval = 4 mio).
