Thargoid Data Gathering Effort: We need your help!

Copying into your cockpit in Vive? That sounds cool. How does it work? Is it in a fixed position so when you headlook it stays put?

It's an app made on unity I got at my cmoputer (sorry not at home now, will let you know later its name). It lets you show a window into your VR world, and it can be either locked to the world itself or to your screen (so it is always fixed in relation to your head movement). I used to use it to watch movies and series while I travelled to Colonia, but now has a better use :D

little observation: I cant find any nhss in aries dark region ms-t c3-15. there is a thargoid base here. May be signifiant? it is still within the ua shell

Same in HIP 15134. In fact i cant find any signal at all. Narrative or glitch?

I found that when I was close to The Indra it was very difficult to get a NHSS to spawn. I actually flew my ship in a loop hands free waiting for spawns. But 3 out of 4 USS were normal for that area. its as if certain spawns have precedence. Maybe the systems you mentioned have a low spawn rate for some rare USS and it gets precedence.

If its narrative then maybe its a clue as to where they are running from?

I'm in HR 1295 right now. Just had three NHSS5 in a row without a thargoid present, a Beluga Liner-wreck and some odd'ish canisters like antique jewelery and coffee. (around HR 1295 3 & HR 1295 3A)

Interesting, that makes a change from the Military convoys, Mega Ships aside

I found that if I took too long dropping then the Thargoids would be gone.

That reminds me. I was at one site and saw them sucking up a Thargoid Probe from the wreckage. Not seen that before. Unfortunately I was on the wrong PC so no video evidence.

I thought that at first (as I always start reporting the NHSS before I enter, so I just have to record logogram in the NHSS. But with a consistent long time-before-drop I get a lot of Thargoids - more likely just RNG until proved otherwise

Normal case is they scoop escape pods and anything Thargoid.

Can anyone answer me regarding my EDCM question?
Will it send nhss data via the plugin of nhss's prior to installation??

Interesting, not seen passenger ships attacked before!

No. Unfortunately not. Its not simple to capture in EDDiscovery either as it requires two events. USSDrop and SupercruiseExit

If you are able to extract the data and add it to a google sheet I can transfer the data over to the main sheet

Ok thanks for answering, I'll see if I can find out if I can extract the data from EDDi.

Are there any suggestions for where to explore the Goid boundary?

Interesting that someone is exploring HIP 15134, as I flew out from Muang on Saturday evening and didnt get NHSS until HIP 16271

Bah, was just about to get in-game & its gone down for maintenance. Why can't they stick to Thursday mornings! Server status is "Upgrading"!

EDIT: servers back, need to upgrade the client!!

Goid boundary is thought to be about 150 LYs from Merope, so worth checking either side of that, about 10 LYs I guess? Or in the unlikely event you find some beyond that, keep going out until they don't appear ;).

Looks like max distance reported in sheet is 144 Ly, except for one outlier in Hyades Sector GW-W d1-71 (244 Ly). Not sure I would trust that one without verification.

Edit: Gone to that system to check it out: It's a single star, not getting any USS / NHSS spawns. I call shenanigans.
Edit: Just got USS - Degraded Emissions, then an Encoded Emissions - no NHSS here :(

On the EDMC log I'm only seeing $USS_Type_DistressSignal; for Hyades Sector GW-W d1-71 so far.

BTW Three new alien sites have been discovered.

System Planet Latitude Longitude Is the site "Active"
Pleiades sector LS-T c3-2 5A 10.0272 45.0325 Yes
Pleiades Sector GW-W d1-54 2C 76.9958 -139.547 Yes
HIP 22347 4A 17.9813 140.8444 No

Guess I forgot to post about that here, I joined the discover (tonio-gmnh) on his 1st visit to the Pleiades GW-W site :), that was 1 of the systems on my candidate search list (see sig ), and I had searched 1 of the moons too! Lol
