The latency is somehow better than my Xbox can achieve natively! I don't know how they do it, but it's very good.
I subscribed to Geforce Now Ultimate Tier. I have a fast connection so there is almost like no lags. In rare cases lags occurred, but relogging fixed that.
You won't see anything under downloadable products regardless, unless it was purchased on that account previously. Support informed me that the copy isn't considered a purchase, so it doesn't show on the store account. The link in the email was apparently provided to circumvent this issue. It should also be OK to purchase just Odyssey after the copy is complete, then use that downloadable product to install.

I'm pretty sure if they thought they would make profits by releasing Odyssey on consoles, they would have done it by now

Long time console player here considering making the jump to PC. I'm currently on the other side of the galaxy about 15k ly from beagle point, if i do the transfer, I'm assuming it will move me to colonia. Will my commander retain all exploration data so that I can turn it in on PC? I know it says codex entries will transfer but I wanted to be sure that includes unclaimed exploration data because I am sitting on a lot of it on console! Thanks!

Wouldn't risk it, find the nearest DSSA Carrier to your location and turn it in there, I can't imagine unsold exploration data would move across. Codex data is a different beast because it is recorded on the database the moment you get it, but exploration data is only recorded when you sell it!

I'm so confused. I transferred my xbox account over to PC, and it completed, but I'm not sure how to actually play it. They didn't give me any instructions. In Elite I dont see an option to "choose commander" or anything. Do I go to the elite dangerous launcher and log out, then log in again? Or what?
For the record I'm not interested in deleting my PC account. I just thought it would be cool to have an account in the bubble and another account in colonia.

You have 1 (a single) cmdr, you don't get more per account, your transferred Xbox account will have either overwritten your old account or be a new account with new login details, it depends what options you took when you did the transfer and whether you already had an existing PC account, or not as the case may be. Suggest contacting support because none of us here know exactly what you did.
If you're asking how to start 2 different accounts on PC, I think probably the easiest is to copy the launcher EDLaunch.exe to something like EDLaunch-2.exe. Each get their own config file so they can both retain email and password for the 2 different accounts. Just use one or the other to start the game depending on which commander you want to use.
You should have an email from fdev with a link to download the launcher
Download it, let it install the game, log in with the Frontier account you created* for the transfer and that's it
* presumably you created a new frontier account, because if you didn't, it only means you had to clear save on your existing PC account since they don't merge accounts
Based on the information you provided, verify your original PC commander is still there. Once you've verified that, log out with the options in the launcher. Finally, log back in with the new account you created during the transfer. If the console commander is there, you're all set. If any of this doesn't work, create a support ticket here: https://customersupport.frontier.co.uk/hc/en-us/requests/new
If everything works, take a look at MinEDLauncher. It makes commander selection much easier, just create a shortcut for each one.
Note: On the setup instructions for MinEDLauncher, the shortcut example shows "profile-name". Use any name you want in place of "profile-name" (no spaces). That has no bearing on the actual account the shortcut is for. It's just to link the local shortcut to it's local authentication file.
