This one is also very beautiful. The draft above has been updated to most current version.
The borders won't be visible on the main map once its incorporated into EDSM (we were just using them as a rough guide), firstly because if they're visible and we need to amend or tweak them it means the whole map has to be redone and reincorporated into EDSM all over again, and secondly we feel its much better if there is some ambiguity as to where regions merge with each other. A bit of mystery and ambiguity for the community maps was something I always set out to have when this project was first began. The Formidine Rift being an example as to why defined borders are a bad idea - part of the story that incorporates the Rift is based on not knowing exactly where it is in game. This one is also very beautiful.
I liked the borders on the previous one (allows me to put everything in the right "box"). Will the web version get an extra layer so that these borders (for people with my kind of OCD) can be enabled if desired?
Fellow explorers,
apart from integrating the new maps into EDSM we will also start reviewing and adding your latest submissions to the Mapping Project. This may take some time but we'll probably start on thursday so if you have new submissions in the making, feel free to post them here.
Please do not forget to always add an ingame reference star system and also, if possible, to add a screenshot or two in order to maybe later add some flavour.
I'm so sorry - I did a search of the list of POI but didn't see it there!@Zil Zalo those are some good views of that group of nebulae on the far side of the core. I passed through the smallest, XOTHUIA AA-A H9, on my way back from DWE ( https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...alactic-Mapping-Project-Expedition-Hub/page44 ) but I think your name works better, especially with the screenshot you have of it.
.
There are a couple of stations named after Rorschach in the bubble, including a certain Rorschach Survey, one of my favourite names. I'm not sure if it was named by a backer or an amusing result of the procedural name generation ...
Name : | Arissa's Nubile Orbs |
Game map search ref. : | ATHAIP GW-M C23-2801 A 3 |
Description: | A pair of binary Earth-like worlds nearly directly below the Great Annihilator. They enjoy gravity of a buoyant 0.7 Gs and their atmospheres are 30% Oxygen - potentially allowing for some very large carbon / oxygen-based life forms to evolve! |

Cheers,

I like this. Humanising the Galaxy.I think it would be useful for my FGE friends to help out too: they've seen lots of interesting things.
I haven't been to many places, but one place I've mentioned once or twice before that's close to my heart is Nyuena Ro-Z d184, in what I have called the Nyuena Open Cluster Sector, close to the edge of the northern bulge of the Galaxy some 1800LY directly above Sagittarius A*. In my 22LY-limited Cobra I had an amazing view of the Galaxy below. It's not the highest anybody has been, but it's the highest I have been:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpE3VM4YK7A
Additional videos of this place:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0fJOdeik2M - an Earth-like water world which I'd now like to call "The Reptile Nest"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RPUqvAnDbE - the sole ringed gas giant which has no name so far
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyCGZl2B7RA - I call this place "New Mars."
I don't have a name for the system, though. Unofficially I once named it "Zulu Point" but that's way too self-indulgent.I dunno, I think as it's up in the roof of the Galaxy I'll call the system "Cracked Canopy."

Whatever, you chose it and in this case let Hypuae Euq SY-S d3-0 be the southern meridian, it's more far out than Hypuae Euq RY-S d3-0 and more interesting, because it has planets in contrast to the other one.
