CH Pro Fighterstick

What is the stick like? I've had an ancient version of the CH Fighterstick (pre USB). The centering springs are very light, I think (which is good)

How are the potentiometers? The gaming-port version wasn't very precice, and the potentiometers wore down over time. Has the tech been improved?

I have an old Attack 3 in reserve - very solid and durable, for a budget 'stick (and left-hand friendly too).
I played with that before I got my t16000m. The lack of twist handle and hat switch forced me to upgrade, but I may use the Attack 3 as a second joystick if I ever decide to bother enough to try two-joystick control set-up.

Voted x65f since that is what I currently use, although I do have the x52pro as well.

The only thing I miss from the x52pro are the customizable lights (Red/Green/Amber), and the fact that you can turn them off entirely.

Was originally going to use the XBox 360 controller but as so many people here use the X52 Pro, I was going to get one of those.

However, I've got a bit of a problem with my left shoulder and I think that the throttle control may make the situation worse.

Looks like I'm going back to plan A. :(

I'm using an xbox360 controller at the moment without any issues so don't worry about the controller choice too much.

I am using the Saitek X52, but have decided to put the throttle device aside and use the keyboard + flight stick instead. The main reason is for future expansions. When the EVA is released, I don't want to try walking around using a throttle and flight stick. This way and can use the keyboard for both modes, and switch from the stick to the mouse seamlessly without having to rearrange anything each time I want to jump out of my ship.

Thrustmaster 16000m. I haven't used it much and can't really compare, but it got excellent sensors and is an affordable option. Imho the T16000 should really be in the poll, not just the expensive ones :)

Ultimately I want to buy the Sixense STEM system though since it has true 6 DOF per controller and can be used as a joystick as well as a "mouse aim" type device and is interesting for VR / OR.

Well said. We'd not want this game to become too Elitist, would we? :)

TAC 2 with a USB adapter and The Bug with a USB adapter...

And yes... I'm planing to use them for gameplay... even though they are digital.

But mostly I'm probably going to play the game with keyboard + trackpoint + touchscreen.

I'd be VERY careful about touching that Li-Ion battery. These are incredibly dangerous items.

One of my laptops had a li-ion battery explosion. It was not a pretty sight.

I currently have the Saitek Cyborg Evo, but having tried to play ED with that I find I much prefer using the Microsoft Xbox gamepad.
