My T-Flight has been pretty much plug and play although I haven't made any custom bindings yet. Sounds like a bug if it is fixed by restarting the game.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend downloading and installing these Thrustmaster drivers. I've heard others have similar issues and they have been resolved by installing the drivers.

Seems a few issues with the stick, or maybe elite its self, have not tried the official driver, as also mentioned it is pretty much plug and play, im going with its a game bug tho given theat a restart fixes it, I will try and ticket it when I get home.

.
Thanks all

I'm sorry I don't know what you mean...
My set up on those controls is:
In flight my "rocker" on the left hand throttle control is for lateral thrusters. My Hat is powerplant management.
When docking my Hat changes to lateral thrusts and "burst" thrust forwards/backwards.

I just mean look through all the bindings to make sure the hat isn't being used more than once. From what you say I'd check the 'Flight Landing Overrides' section.

Ah OK, I'd thought of that t'other day.
Nope, the hat is certainly being only used once, although as I say it's over ridden if my landing gear is down, but that's meant to be the case. My rocker isn't binding any more than once either, not even overridden, but as I say occasionally they'll stop working (Never at the same so far).

Also, I don't need to restart to fix it. Docking is usually sufficient, or a HJ.

how to setup and use joystick HELP

I'm new. I just spent 45 mins (in a dogfidht) in Supply Strike training mission and I could not even knock out the shields of the enemy fighter. I'm using a joystick (logitech attack 3). Having a lot of trouble getting enemy in my sights. Once I do I always over shoot and cant keep enemy in my sights.

I have seen many many threads on which joystick is best etc but nothing on how to set up the 10 zillion controller options including sensitivities etc.

Can anybody please link to a guide that maybe states what all the controller options are and what they do along suggest set ups and things to try so as to improve the performance of the joystick.

Regards
Underhook

I had the same stick at first. Can't recall what my binds were exactly - stick buttons for primary and secondary fire, target ahead, boost, next subsystem, base buttons (from the top left) for next fire group, shield cell and heat sink. Never used the other side of the base as it meant letting go of the stick, and the throttle axis was no good for me.

The main thing is to control your power settings, keep your throttle in the blue range, and use your directional thrusters to speed up a turn as well as changing direction.

I say all this, then admit that until I accepted the inevidtable and got a HOTAS I really could not find a set of binds that I was happy with. Not saying you should get one, but it was the best option for me.

Good luck with it!

Recommend me a joystick Please

Hi commanders, please can anyone recommend a Decent, Cheapish joystick to use with the game?

Not interested in force feedback or anything, just a fairly decent one to help with the flight and maybe a couple of programmable buttons or something..

Your suggestions welcomed .
