Hi all,
A bit of a reminder, I have a Warthog but no matter it could be any of the other controllers, I inadvertently caught the switch for Silent Running with my cuffs, The Cobra went up to 450 Deg before blowing up, at the time I could not figure what had happened. I then did it again, but this time turned it off. Now of course Moved it to where u have to be a second jointed to get at it.
Just a little warning Fellars and of course Ladies.
Luck

Dan

Please raise the joystick button limit - Please

All I can do is ask.

I think it's 32. I have moar buttons. I need them mapped ever so terribly.

The index 8 way on the throttle works, not the middle 8 way, or the infiniscroll, or the pinky rocker, ( on throttle ) or the control panel buttons.

You should look into Voice Activated Controls or maybe Voice Attack.

Or you can map those joystick buttons/hats to emulate keyboard keys through its own software or AutohotKey

I has VO, can't use while in wing. I could spend a day creating some freak of nature in PPJoy but I would really like to be able to map lots of buttons like every flight sim ever. Saitek Profiler works when it wants to. If the periphery buttons or the control panel with the real eject button get set to keybinds and somehow decide to work correctly then generally the 8 way index hat ( which is for thrusters so a no go ) reverts to 4 ways.

Long ago we thought that there was a hard limit on joystick buttons that could be natively seen but i got a host of flight sims that proves that false.

Not sure about this... but supersane may be talking about 'fire buttons'.

I'd like an extra fire button or two!

(I may be wrong though as I usually am - the GF tells me... ) :p

I've wanted this from the start. It's all well and good having fire groups but it would be nice to control my 3 or 4 possible weapons without changing.......

It would also allow the main fire button's 2 position switch to fire one or two lasers whilst having projectiles on another button and the huge plasma accelerator on another :)

3 would be nice, four would be even better.

You can script group change and then fire to a single button. However it's not exatly what you are asking for. For me 2 fire buttons is enough. *vulture ;)

Initializing joystick...

I've not read this before, so I might be the only one who is annoyed. When I start the game I instantly put my hands on throttle and stick. However you can only skip the intro with mouse/keyboard. Would it be possible to initialize the joystick as soon as the game loads? Handling the menus after the intro works flawless. It's a minor annoyance, but I would realy like a fix if possible.

I know I could have posted under suggestions, just want to know if I am weird or anyone else has this problem...

Recommend Joystick? Nothing over $100

Hey all,
I use an Oculus while playing so it's sometimes hard to find the keys I need to press without having to strain my eyes and look through the nose whole. I was thinking of getting a joystick for not only more immersion but to make things a little bit easier. I don't want anything fancy just a joystick with perhaps a few buttons on it or its base which I can program to do what ever. Nothing over $100 it's out of the question as I don't want to spend to much and it's my first joystick. What would anyone recommend? Also I would prefer if it's an Australian retailer but it doesn't have to be. I'm just not sure what to get.

Thanks.

Extreme Pro 3D here as well; nothing fancy, it just works. Plastic, but solid enough. I have had mine for 5 years and counting.
I am holding on to this until I can afford something insane in solid metal and lots of buttons..
