They should just go it and laugh at the AAA trolling they gave us.In fairness this is what FDev teased us with 2.5 years ago:

Yeah Star Citizen is a bit too much realistic in that regard IMO. At the very least I would like the option of "fade-to-black" and / or "skip the cut scene" for certain things in that game, like the hour long walk from your bed to your ship.In all seriousness there is a distinct group of people who absolutely focus on details and constantly miss the forest for the trees. It's related to a certain spectrum, you find plenty of them in sci fi communities. Heck Star Citizen is largely build on that perspective.

Well I might be missing something here.. but the SRV launch 'fade-to-black' does have some animation of a sort included. Fade-to-black then you find yourself in the SRV seat (identical to the ship seat for sure)..THEN you get the SRV Hangar elevator 'animation' as you plummet to the ground in your SRV...Fade to black is corny. But I'd prefer that over some half attempt to over compensate with animations and whatnot.....
Standing on the ground, after pushing a button and fade to black sort of... epically changes that.. But it is what it is.

I'm still expecting disembark to involve the elevator, just as the SRV deploys in first-person from a section of the ship, we'll probably FtB from the cockpit chair to the airlock point, step out, and... well. One small down escalator for man, but still a giant leap for space games.
Lag momentNeil Armstrong is so 1960s.
I'm fine with my Star Trek moment
Weapon switch animations forcing you to watch is both a prime example of bad transition and so surprising it still exists today. It adds nothing.Perfectly fine with not having to watch an animation every time. Then again, my thrill at watcing a hardpoint's weapon get removed and replaced in outfitting passed about five years ago now, so perhaps I'm just easily pleased. I'm far more interested in gameplay than transitions.
Gets really annoying after the 5th time. Know why? It takes control away. All these breaks do.Did you read my original post correctly?
I'm not on about brushing my teeth, putting my suit on, opening airlocks, getting weapons from the weapons locker etc.
I said an animation of getting out of your seat and walking to the cockpit door THEN a blackout to cut out the rest of the ship interior THEN an animation of walking down or climbing down the exterior ladder.
So your entire argument is defunct, mate.
One of the main issues I'm pushing, and I will push it again - because believe me it sounds like you need it spelling out again. Is how stupid this will look from the outside or from the cockpit when other players do it if they just magically vanish and appear.
It's about finding that balance where you can play the game without seeing the obvious gameplay mechanic poking you in the face, and saving the devs having to do loads of work to move around the cabin freestyle only to make the rest of your ship redundant till a later date (assuming full ship interior gameplay comes at some point in the future).
