Thargoid Attacks: Where, When and What you can do about it

10 or so. Only thing to show up was the T-9 rescues ships. Will try Lusonda. Thanks all

10 is sadly on the low side. WHen I was looking for tissue samples (and hence needing a variety of interceptor) it was something like

(out of 60 relogs)

1 medusa
3 basilisk
5 cyclops
51 rescue

Long runs of rescue are normal, if annoying

Moved over to the James. Every other relog had a Thargoid. Usually Basilisk but 1 out of 3 a Cyclops. Engaged the Cyclops and soon an off course AX missile hit the James so I got wanted (100 CR bounty). Lesson learned. Pitiful try at the Cyclops so I ran. Looks like a fun learning curve ahead. Thanks all

Made a video to commemorate the first kill. Please excuse the terrible editing and sound choices.

Probably a few more hours this week before the decision is made as to whether we won. Flight plans on the Aegis Megaships should update tonight (18:00 Gametime) which will be out first clue as to how we did. Though since those ships where targeted this week ...

(Aegis currently in Ancanec and Seliacha)

I wonder what the Aegis insurance forms to Zaonce will look like. Hopefully they can afford the rebuy!

Lusonda still has NHSS. Is the fight over or not?

It's been assumed that FD decide which we won, then set the flight plans of the megaships accordingly. Hence we believe that there is no point in fighting once the megaship flight plans are updated (which has now happened for this week).

Could be wrong though, fighting will do no harm, but if you have other things to do then now is a good time to do them ;)

I'll go and get a spare Anaconda. And get her ready for exploration in hope that Q4 will bring many new explo tasks. Saving Humanity (fighting Thargoids) pays peanuts, so not really a lucrative endeavour.

So what are the flight plans for this week? Or is there a sudden surge in missions to take military personnel on holiday to Capitol and Mars?

Ooops, posted them on the other thread ready for tomorrow:

Aegis Megaship flight plans this week : Spinoni and Dalfur

Spinoni has no sensible targets for the Thargoids, Dalfur was previously attacked in Week 10. For their locations we probably lost at least one of the systems this week, which goes against predictions.

Will be interesting to see if they successfully make the jump, given the Thargoids are attacking them this week.

To be clear about this. I joined into the defence of those systems under siege by the Thargoids as an independent CMDR out of necessity. Those poor people, their families and communities on those stations do not deserve to be baked by their fusion cores.
While AEGIS gave us the tools to fight this war, I can not get rid of the feeling that they are part of the reason why we have to fight at our doorsteps in the first place.
As a Soldier I can live with the fact that I am just a pawn in a bigger game but with the king under threat it seems to be a good opportunity to turn around and ask some questions.
These pirates might be the scum of humanity, but at the moment they seem to be our best way to get some answers out of AEGIS.
Therefore, I will keep on defending the next group of Systems against the Thargoids but I won't come to help AEGIS.

I urge those who fought alongside with me to stay away from this, too.

I was expecting that a few weeks ago, now I think the Thargoids are primarily looking for INRA bases, and the attacks are a distraction. So there's no need for increased attacked as the 'end game' isn't a successful invasion of Sol / Achenar, but is instead complete knowledge in INRA (Thargoids have 2 bases to find).

(Making INRA the goal makes more sense for FD as they can control that, and hence make the INRA bases 'last' until 3.1 is ready to come out (like they did with the Aegis labs before 3.0). That's not possible with a Sol invasion as they don't know if we would fight off 2, 3, 4, etc successfully. But I might be thinking about this too much ;) )

Hi, where does the rumor about 12 INRA bases come from? Could you provide me with material or links about this speculation? I am very interested. Thanx :)

I didn't mention 12 bases.

That number is based upon the INRA messages where they talk about 12 experiments. There's a sticky thread about the INRA bases ^^^
