I'm sorry, but again I have a question off-topic. Someone said that the developers said that there is only one galaxy. What stars sky do the Targoids show us on their rig?
I dont know why it was sated there are no other galaxys....we have real world dwarf galaxy's within the milky way that are also in elite, skull and crossbones nebula has many interstellar other galaxy stars within it for example that do not belong nor orbit the milky way

Hmm, not Raxxla related, but in California Sector now and no Thargoid ship presence that I can see, not even in the systems with barnacles. Why have the Thargoids not contested the Alliance expansion there like they have in Witch Head and Coalsack? Pirates have, but not the Thargoids themselves? Anyone find that a little strange? Also facilities named after Mic Turner, and his faction Turner Research Group seem to be largely running the place. He (supposedly) disappeared trying to make peaceful first contact with the Thargoids. I believe it is different Alliance factions in the other nebulae. Curiouser and curiouser. That said California Nebula is one of those odd ones where the systems don't actually seem to be in the nebula itself as depicted on the Galaxy Map, so perhaps that explains the absence of Thargoid signal sources. Just out of curiousity, does anyone know if a Thargoid signal source has ever been seen outside of a nebula or dark region?
Perhaps California nebula is the first war region where Miacke was, it lies approximately 500+ly from Polaris and the bubble which in lore (IF THIS WASNT ALSO RETCONNED) If where Jameson was transported to aboard the thargoid vessel.

It is between the jameson crash site also and although it may have been Merope Pleiades we travelled to etc I doubt it as that is much closer to the bubble and core worlds than Polaris itself which wouldnt make sense as it was supposed to be further out than Polaris itself hence the reason for the transport.

again this is provided everything wasn't retconned however the crash site, mycoid and other ingame story's suggest this part still stands and also it being barren of Thargoids would make sense as they where all massacred and probably never want to go back, yes Pleiades holds the giant crash sites of that war however they could have been on route from California and just died there during a Meta refuel before causing havoc in the bubble....Food for taught.

Fernweh basically means to yearn for the far. It's the of opposite of homesick (Heimweh in german).

In my opinion the toast is still one of the most solid puzzles there are in regard to tdw or raxxla so excuse my tinfoil as i dive in a little :)

My translation from german to english (am native german):

"To the Jewel, that shines at the forehead of the mother of all galaxies! To the whispers in the blackness of space, the siren in the deepest nothing! To the parents grief, the lovers woe (lament works too) and yearning of every vagabond! To Raxxla!"

The main differences being:

They chose to write forehead (Stirn) instead of brow (Braue), but seeing it as calling it the middle or the focal point of something/place gets across either way, more visually speaking (trying to find the eyes) it would place the supposed jewel kind of differently. Interesting fact, "Gestirn", is a german word for light emitting or reflecting bodies in space.
"Stirn" can also mean a front facing part.
Mother of all galaxies seems to be the implication of the original english text too imo, it just gets specificly pointed out in german, don't know why (could just as easily been "Mutter der Galaxien" which would have been a perfect fit).
Also, the german text does not only refer to A "whisperer" but general whispers, but refering to the siren in the same sentence just like the original, makes the source of the whispers kind of singular again. "Schwärze" could be translated to darkness but "blackness" is a much closer. Of course the darkness of space tends to be black so no big news here but still a wierd choice of words.
The deepest nothing is also a wierd choice as Quoted OP stated The Void is also called the Void in the german translation of the game, meaning the void mentioned in the toast could be a entirely different place to the one on the map.
Rover apparently is just an older word for vagabond so yeah, "Vagabund" is just Vagabond.

The difference in wording and word count could mean one of three things:
1. the hints the toast gives are even more vague than we tought OR just partially with more specific information troughout different translations
2. there is a specific sequence or phrasing to be found in the toast, respective of the languages structure and/or poetic customs, so the changes are on purpose
3. bad translation

if the first option is believable it would mean that:
-the placement of the "jewel" is more of a central object than lying between two "eyes"
-the mother of all galaxies is not Cassiopeia, but maybe something either more cosmological or an even more important name giving entity
-witchspace not being mentiones could mean either its not important or the english translation has the next piece of info needed taht identifies the blackness as witchspace
-the void in the toast is not the void we know

Option two reeks of spacemadness so i stay away from that until my options run out.

of course bad translation is the easiest option, but the toast itself is not arkwardly worded at all, it all fits well, just some facts are off, so either the translator had some freedoms in translating the toast (which would be suspicious if considered a hint), or it was just not that important to get right (which would atleast exclude the toast as a piece of the puzzle).

I picked this toast apart time and time again, in german and english alike, thought id chime in to clear the german translation.

Happy Hunting o7
What a brilliant reply! Das ist gut ja!
What i will also note there is quite allot of german influence in the game such as system name's, faction leader names at stations and also stations them selves, so despite being a UK game i think there is allot of german in it, the rover/vagabund reference is great work! I didn't know that:) oh raxxla, wo bist du? o7

Yes, I’m allied with them. Not run any missions for them for while but I remember an Elite tourist mission (about 7 businessmen) last Autumn from SD to a nearby tourist system about 13ly away, can’t remember the system name. Got several million Cr for 10 minutes run and an elite assassination mission as a follow-on. Didnt take it for roleplay (& rheumatism) reasons but did wonder if it was a recruitment test.
I check in on them, i have maxed rep with them and my carrier is assigned to them as a faction , every now and then i check for passenger trips and missions, but also 45mil to go to 25000 ly..no thanks! Il spend more in tritium!

Its only a minor distinction but I believe that Braben said that Raxxla has been in-game since Gamma not Beta. Its pretty much the same thing but if there is a quote out there from DB stating that Raxxla has been in game since Beta I'd love to see it.
Ok ok so what on earth is the diff between gamma betta and alpha releases?

Is there somewhere a summary of all already known facts and theories on this search, that would be handy for newcomers to get up to speed quickly?
Honestly read the darkwheel novella book online and look at the codex entries, then statements from fdev, this is the most unwavering solid evidence,do not believe the statement someone has honked/visited the system, that's absolutely untrue! Just like those who lied and said they found raxxla or were very close, lies.. you can't say your close if you haven't seen it, you can't say its found with no photos..

How can i tell which grid is which? Can you give me an idea how to use your method?
I am not that firm in astrology, yet i have some serious fun joini9ng up this treasure hunt.

Found some "rare" bodies:
Class M Dwarf-Star with Ring

If i remember correctly the FFE plot spun around Polaris,
including the "Turner Class" ship.
Polaris is one of the brightest stars visible from earth.
Have the other objects in the "brightest star list" been checked out?
I think you need a very bright star, best with a big solar mass used as
a stellar beacon for long range travels.

Any ideas on how i can check what their designation is in E: D?
What a awesome find! Where was this?

CMDR Brown Beard might be on to something in Canonn. His thoughts copy and pasted from Discord: "To the jewel that burns on the brow of the mother of galaxies [Mu Andromeda]! To the whisperer in witch-space, the siren of the deepest void [Achelous, one of the few Sirens]! The parent's grief, the lover's woe, and the yearning of our vagabond hearts [Demeter]. To Raxxla!"

As seen from shinrarta. "The centroid is around -77, -3, -13".

Thoughts?
Do you know what this yellow star is?
