Thargoid Attacks: Where, When and What you can do about it

Nuts. I am usually parked on one but just yesterday moved all my assets to one place for maintenance.

Well, I had a fighter bay left at the Vanguard and it was showing as still in Yakou.

Great news everyone!

Despite losing 63 G. Capricorni this week the NHSS survey shows no NHSS in the bubble, and Eagle Eye has not updated, so no new attacks this week:

WE WON THE WAR!*

* or Fdev have messed up, but that's unlikely - right ;)

The tick happens in about 2-3 hours, maybe check for Incursion states pending/active?

Yeah, that was our thought. It seemed at the start of this (a year ago) that FDev tried to update Eagle Eye without the server restart, but it failed so they did it on the restart. Maybe they fixed that with 3.3 - or tried to and failed - we'll see on the tick <shrug>

Well it seems the Acropolis and the Vanguard have disappeared.

I was docked on the Acropolis (in Ndandjimo) before the update, and went to bed. When I woke up, I found myself on Garnier Station in the Byeru Base system. Flew back to Ndandjimo, but the Acropolis was gone. Went to the last reported position of the Vanguard (Yukou), but no sight of that ship either.

Has anybody sighted them since yesterday?
Have the Thargoids captured them and stolen them away?
Did FD mess up?
Did I mess up?

I waited for the 1500 update today, and have checked both systems again, but no success.

What is going on?

No EE-targets, no Incursion yet. So I jumped back to 63 G Capricorni to have a look if there is something significant such as Thargoid CZs and the like. Nothing, not even a single NHSS. What I found was a Lowell-Class Researcher at Planet 12 and a Sagan-Class Traveller near Planet 11. Both have Datapoints and if you download the data you'll get the current flight plans with 63 G Capricorni in the first position and up to 6 other targetted systems. I looked for references to these vessels but found none. Lowel-Class and Sagan-Class: yes, but not the Researcher and the Traveller type.

1. Is this all known?
2. If not - might this be a hint where to look at in the future?

Any suggestions?

There are a great number of new megaships with their own agenda added as well as installations. What I do wonder about the new megaships with their own "brain" on trade routes is do their efforts count toward any BGS stuff?

Apparently they carry food to famine places, medicine to outbreaks and such.

I fondly remember that time the Thargoids took a week off and FD said on the forums the Thargoids were adapting their tactics as a response to the Eagle Eye stations allowing us to anticipate their attacks.

One week along, everything was back to normal and has been that way right up until this week.

Hopefully this time something is actually different :)

Same message - I remember because there was a theory it was to do with Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55 (where The Sentinel is based), but now it's called Delphi, so seems more likely it's just a number :)

I am still there, since two days now, still no NHSS and the system is not in incursion. But what I found is "Empyreon Clarity Systems" which is an impressive looking space installation near 63 G. Capricorni 3. I dropped in there and found it to be attacked by pirates and one is welcomed to help to defend it. Similar to a CZ. Nice and funny. You need to help and can see that the installation is hit and burning. Sadly, you cannot land upon and the data points provided no messages. Exciting background noise.
