Thargoid Attacks: Where, When and What you can do about it

Targets this week : Jormbu, Kupol Vuh, Werapana, Wuli, Merope, Maia

The four targets in the bubble have mainly scouts, Maia and Merope are full range

Systems are saved by kills in the target systems- each kill counts the same, so a Scout is as useful as an Interceptor. Bonds do not matter.

Locations of the Aegis megaships Acropolis and Vanguard.

* NHSS will be found in systems within 10 Ly of target, the systems are not being targeted for attack - you can kill Thargoids from them, but it won't help save any systems.
* You can also find NHSS all over the Pleiades - within about 166 Ly of Merope, but it won't help save any systems.
* And you can get (bugged) missions from the Aegis megaships to kill Thargoids, but they also don't count to save systems unless the destination system for the mission is also a target this week.
* Targets are found via a weekly search for nhss in possible target systems near the aegis ships and by decoding the aegis Eagle Eye system https://canonn.science/codex/eagle-eye-installations/
* Decoding Eagle Eye is now simpler - use this decoder and type in the phonetic letters called out by the eagle eye unregistered comms beacons - this gives the target system, though it's usually a bit mangled, e.g. Maiaiaiaiaiaia = Maia :)

Finally, some good action!

Am very keen for incursion state a week after this, not that letting civilizations fail is a good thing, just the glorious battles that follow are :)

.............

As I mentioned, it's within 175 LYs, not 166.

Btw, lol at Thargsday :D

Apparently all the target systems now show their system state as 'INFESTED'. No AX CZ. I wonder if that means we can know when we won (by the state flipping back to the normal ones).

Apparently INFESTED is not an option in the galmap filter, so you can't find targets that way :)

so I was in the sys Wuli and nothing have changed, still there are nhss, I killed scouts and I dont see any progress of defending of the system, idk what should I think about it. In the galnet thargoid activity .... only blank space or what does the tg activity actually mean?

Interesting.

Any... "economic opportunities" due to that state?

Actually... I'm going to put in a bugreport for this state.

If you have a look at the galactic map by State, since "Infested" isn't a state, any affected system disappears off the map, since it's not "None", nor is it one of the available states.

Cats on reddit say they are packed with NHSS.

I just unlocked shard cannons and want to fight some of the little guys. Where can I go?

Every above system has low grade nhss and scouts...Nhss 8 and 9 are hard to find...Maia has them...

They spearheaded all the way to 63 G. Now they are just hitting the perimeter?

OK, guess I'm headed to Wuli

I need a flak cannon. Ima kill me one a these sumbit...

I think he means that Fdev do a pretty good job when you consider the complexity and fidelity of the game vs the team size and budget. Compare that to what other dev teams pull off with simpler systems, more cash and licensed technology, Fdev are a marvel.

Or am I misinterpreting?

So we have six infested systems to defend - and if they are failed to be defended they go to incursion and a starport will burn each week in each if the systems??

Wow. Considering it's holiday season right now and a lit if users hang out with family instead of their computers, that sounds as if rescue missions are the next big thing.

Point is, the number of CMDRs repairing won't increase just by more stuff burning.
