What happened to the docking computer!

I've been using the docking computer for a while now, with no problems. It can be a little slow, but gets there.

Just in the last few days though, its been really erratic and just spins the ship round outside the station for the full 8 minute allocated docking time?

Is this a new bug?

Some bits of kit will have failures etc (like Washing machines etc) over time as they get worn out etc... Not sure whether that has been worked in yet though....

My guess is none of the NPCs can't afford the better docking computers if any exists. If you get the chance, watch them dock. They do the exact same thing.

After flying through the entrance, the "compass" above your throttle display shows you where your landing pad is.

Docking computer crashed my ship with FULL CARGO?

OK, I agree with Gulskjegg- Docking is not irritating, and I like it. Super Cruise is boring beyond belief. So I am working during the day and hauling and clicking off on my new docking computer - worked GREAT! like... 20x times? Awsome. Fun tribute to 2001 soundtrack... otherwise known a classical music... then inside dock, out of the blue... YOUR SHIP HAS BEEN DESTROYED.

Fantastic. I have been sweating all day. Like 8+ hours of hauling down the tubes. I know this is a beta but the docking computer needs to work or not work. Like the ship. How long will you play this game if your ship spontaneously explodes?

Am I missing something?

Docking Computer for a Cobra Mk 3?

Greetings Commanders,

I'm having real problems finding somewhere to pay a Docking Computer for my new Cobra Mk 3. Do any of you fine commanders know where I might buy one?

It's just one of those items that is not always in stock.

If you hop between asellus primus and iBootis it will eventually turn up.

Potem zaczęło mnie irytować jak odlatywał 10 razu i proces lądowania trwał 10-12 minut.
W czym sam lądujesz w ciągu 30 sekund...

Fajny bajer ale bardzo wrażliwy...

Can't sell docking computer or buy Viper MkII

I have a bug where no matter what I do I can't sell the docking computer off my Cobra, and every time I go to buy a Viper it's 12,294 credits more expensive than what I have, no matter how much credits I obtain.


Anyone with this issue or that has found a way around it?

Not being able to sell ship items is a common bug. Most people have to sell the ship as a whole, weapons included.

How many credits have you got in total?

Is it the 'server error 401' ?
If it is the only way around it is to sell ship and start with a new hull

Landing Computer

For me as a handicaped E: D fan it is very difficult to land in a starport, not enough usebale fingers. i am fidling around with voiceAttack to find a smooth solution for thrust down/up but i am not satiesfied so far. I know it is a lot of fun if everything works out fine, but i really need a Docking Computer who does this work for me ;)

So please Frontier, implent it soon :)

Docking computer is already implemented. Available from (some?) stations in the outfitting section. Apparently it doesn't work so well just yet though.

Docking Puter

I got a docking puter and I have to say contrary to what others have said, it has worked every time for me.

It does get a little hairy as you watch it line up and approach the Starport opening, I get a bit twitchy sometimes! Also it has a tendency to circle around and around as it lines up to some stations which can make you feel queasy!

OMG!It worked with voiceA! Thrust up/down did its job by speech. just a little tweeking in the press button time... 1 sec is a little to short, i try out 2 seconds.

Really glad its working for you!

ED is a great game, I have enjoyed it so much - cant wait till its out!

Trouble is its finding the time!
