Orders 31 JUL - 04 AUG 3308

Project Status:

Happy Sunday Commanders! Things are looking really good coming out of the weekend, many things are a carry over because conflicts take time to resolve. The TDW buffet has all game loops and conflict types to choose from so scroll on down and see what interests you!

Items of note:

- LHS 397 - The Dark Wheel has taken a bit of a tumble here, some work to push INF into TDW and reinforce the 1 to 2 gap here would be good for stability

- TURDETANI - Worth keeping an eye on, it would appear that one of the native factions desires to hand over some assets… would also be “just fine” if TDW were to receive INF to keep that from happening

- ROSS 154 - BSAC winning their election here would help them catch a nice break and restore stability to this system. Again. Maybe this time!

Turning the Wheel remains in the final planned phase of the project. Our primary goals during this phase are to maintain the systems that The Dark Wheel controls for BGS stability and to continue to expand TDW into neighboring systems. If a new system is free from other PMFs and/or PP issues, TDW will take ownership of that system. If other PMFs occupy the system, we will seek an agreement to allow TDW to stay, be friendly, and not attempt to take control of the system. This is the “good neighbor” policy that has worked very well for the project thus far. At present, the current status of TDW in so many systems is in opposition to what the codex entry says. As TDW grows and this difference becomes even greater, it is hoped that this will trigger “something” with respect to Felicity Farseer’s quote in the TDW codex entry.

Above all, we continue Turning the Wheel for the camaraderie that working together for a common goal brings.

As always, if something pops up that “looks odd” see the General Remarks.

Please remember:
  • Do NOT work for other factions in TDW systems, unless requested below.
  • Do NOT hand in trade goods or cartography data to stations that we do not own.
  • Do NOT hand in bounties for any faction other than TDW in our systems.

Possible Next Expansion Trigger System:
TDW Missions for INF, Cartography Data and Trade Profits at TDW controlled stations, and Bounty Voucher turn ins are desired at:
- Planning/prep is still continuing, the area of space we are looking at has gotten a bit busier over the past week. If you want to help with this effort, please give a shout in the discord server.

Conflicts:
86 MU HERCULIS - Elections - Support Colanja Gold Power Services
9 PUPPIS - War - Support Hlocidirus Resistance
ANYANWU - War - Support LHS 346 Democrats
ARQUE - (optional!) War - Support TDW
BD-18 3106 - War - Support LHS 2335 Group
COELRIND - War - Support TDW
LFT 926 - Elections - Support Collective of Independent Agents
LHS 417 - Elections - Support TDW
ROSS 154 - Elections - Support Barnard's Star Advanced Corp

Bounty Hunting:
Bounty hunting in any of our controlled systems (9 PUPPIS and/or ANYANWU Compromised Nav Beacons and/or Resource Extraction Sites in TDW controlled systems are great places to go).
Turn in TDW bounty vouchers earned in these locations:
  • TURDETANI
  • LHS 397

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions
  • ANYANWU - Alliance of LTT 5419 4.6% - A few missions here will jump them over the conflicts and towards #2
  • LHS 397 - The Dark Wheel 41.4% - A few missions here will push a more stable buffer gap for TDW
  • LTT 5455 - GQ Virginis General Corporation 6.6% - A few missions here to help them climb the ladder to get back to the #2 spot, want them to win any conflicts on the way up
  • ROSS 1015 - The Dark Wheel 7.1% - Just a couple of missions to offset the Infrastructure Failure state, TDW is just fine around the 7% mark here

Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
Trade and Cartographic data into TDW owned stations in the following systems:
  • TURDETANI - Rushworth Port (s/m) or Zhigang Vision (all surface)
  • LHS 397 - Zillig Depot (all)

Preferred #2 non-native factions for long term stability:
9 PUPPIS - Ralu Independents
ANYANWU - Alliance of LTT 5419
HR 4979 - Alliance of CD-33 8748
LHS 397 - Sol Workers' Party
LTT 5455 - GQ Virginis General Corporation
WOLF 629 - Sol Workers' Party

General Remarks:
Where TDW is a guest, we want TDW to be above the natives, ideally not conflicting with the other player factions, and never in conflict with the controlling faction. 15-20% INF is a good max, unless otherwise indicated
  • ARQUE - TDW is a guest of Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps, no work required here
  • CHARONIUM - TDW is a guest here with LSR but with no diplomatic comms with Star Pilots
  • CHONTANTICI - TDW is a guest of Wolf 406 Transport & Co (AEDC)
  • COELRIND - Hudson PP system, Dukes of Coelrind need to control here
  • DOMOTWA - TDW is a guest of Sidewinder Syndicate
  • HAHGWE - TDW is a guest of Civitas Dei
  • JAUNERA - TDW is a guest of Delta Squadron and is preferred for the #2 slot
  • LAVE - TDW is a guest of Lave Radio Network
  • LHS 1857 - TDW is a guest of Flotta Stellare
  • LHS 417 - TDW is a guest of Blood Brothers from Alrai
  • LP 787-52 - TDW is a guest of Minutemen
  • ROSS 1015 - TDW is a guest of Terran Colonial Forces
  • SOKOJI - TDW is a guest of Wolf 406 Transport & Co (AEDC)
  • WOLF 433 - TDW is a guest of LHS 2541 Alliance Combine (AEDC)
  • As a general rule, when factions in a TDW system are in conflict, we want the native faction (Blue N by their name in Inara when looking at the system) to LOSE. Where two non-native factions conflict, neither winner is “desired”, depending on INF level after the conflict, we would likely boost the LOSER to avoid retreat (happens at 2.5% or lower). Two native factions in conflict can be ignored and their INF in the system can be addressed after the conflict ends.
  • Another general rule, we want non-native factions above the native factions to avoid invasions. Take note that when factions are above 7% influence, and two of them match in %INF, and at least one of them has an asset, this will trigger a conflict. Where possible keep a few % between non-native factions to avoid a conflict as the loser will likely need to get boosted back up above the native factions for stability of the system.

Please continue to use EDMC or similar tools to keep local data up to date.

Project Status:

Well done Commanders. Most of the outstanding things have been dealt with. We do have a fresh crop of new and continuing conflicts to meddle with and the usual repair work to do. In the background the BSL members are preparing our target system. That has been going very well. Boosting one of our several possible source systems to expansion is proving a little more difficult.

Items of note:

  • Ross 1015 - This place is a dumpster fire. TDW is a retreat risk with active Infrastructure Failure. Bounties and missions for TDW are the best bet.
  • Anyanwu - A war to support LHS 346 Democrats and some missions for Alliance of LTT 5419 to prevent retreat risk.
  • Ross 154. BSAC in trouble again.

Turning the Wheel remains in the final planned phase of the project. Our primary goals during this phase are to maintain the systems that The Dark Wheel controls for BGS stability and to continue to expand TDW into neighboring systems. Trade and Cartographic data into TDW owned stations in the following systems:

Project Status:

Welcome to the week CMDRs! I hope everyone is having fun both in TDW space as well as over in the rather busy space flower killing field. Coming out of this weekend, things are looking pretty good except for a couple of outliers, mainly in ROSS 1015 (that system is a dumpster fire, none of you did anything “wrong” there). As always there are a few conflicts to choose from as well as places where mission work would be fantastic. Don’t forget that on your trip back from the HIP 22460 system, you might catch some cartography data on your way back to TDW space for some easy credits as well as some INF for TDW to boot! The final stage of prep work for an expansion is slowly getting to completion, if you would like to help us directly with this, give a shout in the discord server.
Items of note:

- Ross 1015 - TDW in ACTIVE RETREAT here, expecting daily work needed to keep the INF around 7% to make the retreat fail and to set TDW up in a good spot later. Bounties turned in here from other TDW controlled systems and missions from here for TDW are the best bet.

- LHS 417 - The Dark Wheel - Getting a bit too low here, a few missions to get closer to 7% would be good

- LTT 5455 - GQ Virginis General Corporation is in retreat. Missions for INF here to get them back around the 7% mark would be ideal for setting them up later for a climb back to the #2 slot

Project Status:

Post Azimuth patch glitches make a scanning run a bit more complicated than usual. Hours after tick and not everything is updating properly either. As usual there are a number of conflicts to manage in our favor, some retreats or near retreats to prevent and general housekeeping tasks to do.

Items of note:

- Ross 1015 - TDW in ACTIVE RETREAT, though somewhat safer than the other day.

- LHS 417 - The Dark Wheel - Boost TDW over the conflicts and up to ~7%

- LTT 5455 - GQ Virginis General Corporation is in retreat. Missions for INF here to get them back around the 7% mark would be ideal for setting them up later for a climb back to the #2 slot

Retreat risks also exist for TDW in Sokoji, Nuenets Corp in HR 4979 and Alliance of LTT 5419 in Anyanwu

GQ Virginis General Corporation controls LHS 378, which has RES sites for an easy source of bounties. IIRC LHS 353 has a Compromised Nav Beacon too.

You can gather bounties in those systems but sell them into LTT 5455 instead of course.

Wow. That was an impressive hop-scotch move we pulled in LHS 417 to jump over all the conflict-ridden factions. Nice!

Fantastic job taking care of business over the weekend CMDRs! We have a number of things to choose from both conflicts and mission running wise, but the big ticket item this week is to get TDW to expand from LHS 397. Have fun out there in TDW space CMDRs! Crypto will give you the next update on Thursday.

Items of note:

- LHS 397 - Push TDW to greater than 75% INF to start an expansion, this is a TARGETED EXPANSION. If you would like to help guid it to the planned destination system, give a shout in the BSL Discord server

- Domotwa - Let TEAC win the conflict per the “good neighbor”policy

- Push LHS 397 to over 75% to light off an expansion. THIS IS A TARGETED EXPANSION If you would like to help with making this one land exactly where Crypto and myself are planning, please give a shout in the BSL Discord server.

Conflicts:
86 Mu Herculis - Elections - Support Colanja Gold Power Services
9 Puppis - War - Support Ralu Independents
Coelrind - Secondary War - Support The Dark Wheel
LHS 1857 - Secondary Elections - Support The Dark Wheel
LHS 306 - Elections - Support Movement for LP 732-94 Liberals
Phra Lak - War - Support Usiren Free
Wolf 433 - Secondary War - Support The Dark Wheel

Wolf 629 - Election - Support Labour of 70 Ophiuchi

Bounty Hunting:
Bounty hunting in any of our controlled systems (9 PUPPIS and/or ANYANWU Compromised Nav Beacons and/or Resource Extraction Sites in TDW controlled systems are great places to go).
Turn in TDW bounty vouchers earned in these locations:
  • LHS 397
  • Yuqui
  • Sokoji

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions
  • ANYANWU - Aegilips Co - A few missions here will push them up to the 6-7% mark
  • HR 4979 - Nuenets Corp - A couple of missions here will push them up to the 6-7% mark
  • LHS 397 - The Dark Wheel - Push INF hard here for TDW to get above 75% to start an expansion
  • LTT 5455 - Wolf 562 Major Inc - A few missions here will push them up to the 6-7% mark
  • LTT 5455 - The Dark Wheel - After getting the expansion started in LHS 397, missions here to restore the buffer gap (50-55% desired)
  • Sokoji - The Dark Wheel - A few mission here should push TDW back to the 6-7% mark

Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
Trade and Cartographic data into TDW owned stations in the following systems:
- LHS 397 - Zillig Depot (all)

Project Status:

Great Success in getting the expansion lit off from LHS 397. We should arrive in our target system in 10 or 11 days from this writing. This is a targeted expansion to a particular system. We are likely to do a further targeted expansion after this one, so there is a bit more activity than there has been recently over on discord. Jump on in if you want to be involved.
These orders were prepared prior and during tick so potentially are a bit off!

Items of note:

- LHS 397 Expansion is ongoing. A little work for some of the lower non-native factions would help reduce risk of retreats. We do not need to keep TDW above 75% any longer.

- Domotwa - To contradict WolfDragon on this one - Terra-EX (TEAC) do not care about this system, so feel free to ignore or win for TDW.

- LHS 306, BD-18 3106, Yuqui, Wolf 629, Phra Lak, 86 Mu Herculis and LFT 926 all have TDW a bit too low. Boost TDW by all means necessary to get us back to the 50-55% range.

Been working in the Yuqui System today. A quick tip:
The orbital station is pretty distant (>36,000Ls).
The two planetary ports (Zelazny Barracks & Chang-Diaz Lab) are also controlled by Charlotte, sorry by TDW :)
They're close to drop-in so this can save a great deal of travel time but be aware that the gravity on planet A1 is 2.07G!
Both offer large pads and...
repair facilities.

Fly squished safely, CMDRs!

That's some great information Esteban!

Personally, I paid for the landing gear struts, I see no reason not to exercise their full throw to the bump stops :)

My T9 is named "Lithobraking" for exactly this kind of scenario.

Excellent spotting Esteban.

When not involved in a conflict, Odyssey settlements can be valuable trade and mission hubs too. Most have large pads.

It seems like recently the control-tower comms are very nervous, issuing almost frenzied "pull up!" calls even though my approach is very much in control. It's always reassuring as a pilot to be guided by nervous-nellies at Con. Entertaining.
I used these ports numerous times. Savings in travel time added up and - admittedly - a hard landing with even decent shields isn't a dire affair.

Greetings CMDRs! TDW space is looking really good coming out of the weekend! The expansion from LHS 397 is ongoing and will end in a number of days, so certainly stay tuned for where the black ops crew is working to make that go. We are likely to do a further targeted expansion after this one, so there is a bit more activity than there has been recently over on discord. Jump on in if you want to be involved. The majority of the things needing doing are conflict resolution, but there are a handful of places where mission running, bounty vouchers, trading, and cartography data would do very nice things.

Items of note:

- LHS 397 Expansion is ongoing. In system, everything is looking pretty good as well, the negative states here will soon pass, no work required here.

- LHS 417 - The Dark Wheel - TDW getting very low here, a few missions for inf should get back to the 6.5% mark

- LTT 5455 - Minutemen have invaded, I am currently working to get our diplomatic comms handled, but if I recall correctly, we don’t rightly care about Wolf 562 Major Inc and we do indeed have a good working relationship with Minutemen…

Turning the Wheel remains in the final planned phase of the project. Our primary goals during this phase are to maintain the systems that The Dark Wheel controls for BGS stability and to continue to expand TDW into neighboring systems. The Dark Wheel is in good shape. Our expansion should complete very soon and looks to be on target. Things are also relatively quiet with few conflicts to manage. There are a couple of urgent matters listed below as well as a selection of places for missions trade and carto support.

Items of note:

- LHS 397 I’m not sure if we’ve yet paid our 15% expansion tax here. Regardless, TDW is lower than it should be. Boost TDW back to around 50-55%

- Wolf 629 - boost Labour of 70 Ophiuchi to prevent their retreat.

Orders 28 AUG - 01 SEP 3308

Project Status:

The expansion from LHS 397 landed TDW into Santy, not exactly where we were targeting, but “close enough” as well as being useful in it’s own right as a system that TDW can take control of and possibly use in the current “wanting to somewhere interesting” plan Crypto and I have been planning and the Black Ops Crew (which you can join if interested) has been working on. Overall, The Dark Wheel remains in good shape, the majority of things to do are conflict based, which is pretty normal, but don’t forget about mission running in the handful of systems that could use it. See you out there in TDW space CMDRs!

Items of note:

- LHS 397 - needs a little work to repair the -15% expansion toll

- Santy - This is TDW's newest system, the invasion war is active now. The CZ's are a bit of ride out from the hyperspace arrival point, I have moved my Fleet Carrier [TDW] Nikil's Revenge (KHH-76X) out there with full services on offer to aid in the invasion war.

- LP 787-52 - The Minutemen have asked me to pass along that they would prefer that TDW stay #2 here, so there be a war to go fight in if you are so inclined

- LTT 5455 - The Minutemen are moving in to be neighbors here, no worries about the invasion war

- Wolf 629 - 28AUG was the deciding day, the retreat here cannot be stopped. With any luck whichever faction lands here will be neighborly

None currently, expansion sent TDW to Santy, where we need to secure the system

Conflicts:
9 Puppis War - Support Ralu Independents
Anyanwu Elections - Support Alliance of LTT 5419
BD-18 3106 WAR - Support LHS 2335 Group
HR 4979 War - Support Nuenets Corp
Hrimfaxi War - Support Kaupolock PLC
LP 787-52 Secondary War - Support The Dark Wheel (see top of post)
Ross 154 War - Support Barnard's Star Advanced Corp

Wolf 629 War - Support 36 Ophiuchi Future

Bounty Hunting:
Bounty hunting in any of our controlled systems (9 PUPPIS and/or ANYANWU Compromised Nav Beacons and/or Resource Extraction Sites in TDW controlled systems are great places to go).
Turn in TDW bounty vouchers earned in these locations:
  • LHS 397
  • Sokoji
  • Domotwa

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions
Anyanwu - Missions for Alliance of LTT 5419 to win election and repair influence at end.
  • Domotwa - The Dark Wheel 5.1% - Just a couple of missions here to get back to the ~6.5-7.0%
  • HR 4979 - Alliance of CD-33 8748 5.6% - Just a couple of missions here to get back to the ~6.5-7.0%
  • LHS 397 - The Dark Wheel 47% - A few missions here to get back to the 50-55% for system stability
  • Phra Lak - Usiren Free 10.5% - A few missions to get into a conflict, and then winning it would be good
  • Sokoji - The Dark Wheel 5.1% - Just a couple of missions here to get back to the ~6.5-7.0%

Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
Trade and Cartographic data into TDW owned stations in the following systems:
- LHS 397 - Zillig Depot (All Pads)

Keep Turning The Wheel, Hamsters!

Two systems! Time to see if I can 'trade paint' with some of the Minutemen once again! :)

FC support is always nice. Much appreciated in Santy...
