In PvP, maybe, don't risk my Elite crew in PvP.

But PvE? No thanks. I have the best crew possible and she still misses half her shots against anything smaller than a Python (Plasma Repeaters). If anything, they need a boost in their combat prowess, PvE wise anyway.

Hate to say it (cos I think my Elite SLF jockey is terrific) but I think the main way Elite SLF jockeys can be "exploited" is by flying the SLF yourself and letting them fly the ship.
Fit something like an FGS with a heap of PAs/Rails, jump in the SLF, retreat to a safe distance and then watch while your SLF jockey mows down everything in the area with supernatural skill.

Course, with your SLF pilot in charge of the ship, if they screw up you're going to lose them permanently so that's a risk, and maybe that's enough to offset the advantage they provide?

If they ever change the game so that SLF pilots can be saved, somehow, in the event of ship destruction, they're probably going to need to nerf the SLF pilots, themselves, to prevent people doing this more often.

True, their "aimbottiness" is most obvious when in charge of rails. I was glad to give my pilot Anaconda to fire the Gausses while I was fooling around in an AX SLF... But in a PvP I wouldn't dare, you need to be ready to take off at any moment. :D

Yeah, I don’t see an issue here. You gonna try that in pvp you risk losing a serious asset. Most people I know wouldn’t dare. All that said, I am now eager to create a ship specifically designed for NPC use and training. I don’t have any elite npc. Deadly seems to be as far as they go before I meet a Rebuy Screen. Gonna try it though. Seems like good fun. My materials hunting Krait with full fixed laser loadout is OK in her binary hands, so for now I’ll let that suffice. If she does ever go Elite, hopefully I’ll have a ship ready for her. She’s certainly earned her own command, lol!
